Hives for Heroes
Hives for Heroes is a national non-profit service organization focusing on sustainability, conservation, and providing a healthy transition from service. We provide connection, purpose, and healthy relationships through access, resources, and funding for service members, veterans and first responders.
Dripping Sweet Honey Farm works mentoring local veterans as they explore their interest in beekeeping. Working with our veteran was a great experience and we enjoyed having him and his family at the farm.
The connection between bees and veterans dates back at least to the First World War. During the war, sugar rationing reinvigorated the demand for honey as an alternative sweetener.
Dripping Springs Women’s Club
Dripping Springs Women’s Club was founded in 2007 as a social club for a growing community. They are an eclectic group of women that like to have fun, and also want to increase their local knowledge, find ways to become more involved in the community, make new friends and network.
